Movie you start appreciating after repeated viewing

It doesn't happen that often that you watch a movie that disappointed you the first time for a second time. Why waste time on something tou didn't like in the first place? Still, never say never...
When I first saw Robocop by Paul Verhoeven, one of my favorite directors, I was appaled by the violence and gore. It was clear to me: Paul had gone over to the Dark Side (= moneygrabbing Hollywood directors' clan). A year or so later I borrowed a VHS from a friend of mine. The tape had two movies on it, Moscow on the Hudson (which I hadn't seen yet) and Robocop. I intended to just watch Moscow, but somehow I kept watching and so I saw Robocop again. And I liked it! I watched it again and slowly but surely the pure genius of the movie struck me. Now it's one of my favorite movies!
Another example: I had heard of Blue Velvet and what a great movie that was supposed to be. I rented it, watched it and couldn't understand why people liked this movie. And then there was Twin Peaks.... I was totally blown away by this series and decided to give Blue Velvet a second chance. Y've seen it several times now and like it more and more.

I was wondering whether other people have similar experiences and what were the movies you started liking after seeing them for a second time?

This was similar in my reaction to Darren Aronofsky's film "The Fountain." I left the theater in a confused state, partly made by the movie and partly because it was way past midnight, and thought that it was just okay. After multiple viewings, I now hold the film in my top 5 of all time.

This is also the same with "Big Trouble in Little China." The more random quotes I hear from that, the more absurdly funny the movie gets, despite me hating it the first time through.

All of Rob Zombie's films. When I first watch them I never quite know what to think but I actually really appreciate his unique vision and insane style the more I watch them. They aren't for everybody but I do enjoy them anyways.
