[Hailstorm]

It SUCKS, but what can we do, complain to who? I also just want the Blu-rays for the releases that they have done DVD's prior for also, but getting the UP Combo was nice, it filled a niche I have in my Disney Movies, Blu-ray and DVD, but then again there's that stupid Digital Disc again. Why in hell would I want to watch a movie the size of a playing card, when I can watch it in my Home Theater.

I don't know if any amount of complaining will actually change anything (which is why I complain here rather than to the studios). As long as the combo packs sell, they will continue. And people who want the blu-ray will buy the combo packs if that is the only way to get them, so I don't see sales dipping any time soon. And anyway, if consumers decided not to buy combo packs in the hopes that the studio would eventually release blu-only, the studios would likely interpret this as blu-ray not being popular rather than combo packs not being popular. Conversely, since those of us who want blu-rays will continue to buy combo packs to get them, the studios will probably think, "Hey, these combo packs sell really well - let's keep making them," without realizing that it's the blu-ray disc that is selling, not the combo.

Going back to the Disney release of Snow white, though, offering a blu-ray-plus-DVD and a DVD-plus-blu-ray as two different things is just insulting.
