AVP..anyone know what the Collectors Edition 23 Means?
On the spine of the new Alien vs Predator Ultimate Edition DVD it says Colectors Edition 23. Anyone know what this means?

From what I've read it's #23 of their (Foxes) collectors editions.. So there are 22 various other films in the series that are "collectors editions"

Actually I think they're up to 25 with the forthcoming The French Connection and Speed repacks (apparently The French Connection was mistakenly numbered #23 also). There are also two #15's (The Committments and Predator), and no #16. Judging by their high degree of quality control, we can presume that they must have hired some Universal defectors to helm this series.

i don't like this numbers on spines, since i arrange everything in alphabetical order it makes no sense seeing number randomly all over my collection.

23 stands for the cost in $$ that we all have to pay for the "double dip" for this title...
why the hell don't they release dvd's once, as is with all the extra's the first time around, instead of "George Lucas' ing them!
i mean, i have to shell out $30.00 for the "new" sin city, and many other titles...
lately I have been waiting for around a year to buy " new" titles, to not get suckered into double dipping...
thats why i still don't own Kill Bill V 1, and 2, because that is a title SCREAMING for a special edition...
and what the hell, with the "re-releasing " of old titles with "new features" I hate that.
although, January 16th, they are releasing a special edition of Ferris Bueller, with extra's , (and hopefully a better commentary, then that John Hughes BOREFEST that was on the original release...
I just wish they would release the 2 1/2 hour version of The Breakfast Club (that was talked about in detail in Premeire magazine a few years back)

happens all the time. At last count, I think there are 4 versions of Jaws and 4 as well for Halloween.

Get over it. Movies get re-released all the time. It's not like this is a new thing. Plus, no one's holding a gun to your head forcing you to buy the new one. If you want it, buy it. eBay your old one to recoup some of your money. If you don't want it, don't buy it. No one cares.
