Has anyone else picked up this updated version of Sin City? If so what do you think of it?

Rip off is really subjective. Misleading/false advertising is certainly accurate. I never got the original and this version has the theatrical version plus the ever-so-slightly extended individual stories if I'd rather. Besides all the extras and the copy of The Hard Goodbye which I didn't have either, I'd hardly call it a rip off. It is pricey and it isn't exactly what they claim it to be, but it is still a fine set if you didn't get the first release.

Pinata, that's the thing to me vs price it's a bit up there for what you get, doubt I'll pick it up as I have the other already. Books don't really intrest me much not at about 10.00+ so I'll pass

I don't disagree pinata242, but what ctaulbee said goes for me..I do have the original, but 30 bucks for the Recut does start crossing the Misleading/false advertising line to Ripoff...Now when you talk about re-releases on say Lord of the Rings you really get a bang for your buck..Hell, Return of the King was practically a different movie!

I was pretty excited about getting the Recut version but at that price the 1st one will do just fine...Of course if the extra 7 minutes was Carla Gugino naked I'd have to reconsider...!!!!!

I hear ya. As I said, I didn't get the original because I knew this was coming. There was even a time when it was rumored it wasn't coming out, I don't know why I didn't get it then. Probably waiting for a sale since I didn't get it day-of. I feel ok by the price for what I get because I didn't have any of it.

If I had the other, I certainly wouldn't pick this up now, no doubt. That's why I said it was subjective

I picked it up this week, but I didn't already have the earlier edition of it. I feel allright buying this copy for $30.
