Porn picks Blu-Ray
Seems the porn industry has jumped on the hi-def DVD bandwagon and has chosen Blu-Ray to spread it's smut, the deciding factor........Playstation 3.

was thinking the same thing. The Porn industry is soooo much bigger than anyone thinks. Hi-Def porn might be kinda scary though. A certain level of bluriness might be good

might be the case. I have also heard that Microsoft is going to be releasing an HD-DVD add-on drive later this year. IMO, Microsoft really dropped the ball with the XBOX 360. They guranteed 3 million sales the first month and barely got to 1 million. Then you have to pay more for the hard drive, pay more for the wireless controllers, more for the HD-DVD drive (which is an external add-on?). That just sucks. The porn industry may have something here. If the first "cheap" players to enter homes are Blu-Ray and they are built into the PS3, then Blu-Ray has a very big early lead in the format war.

Yeah, most of it is shot on video anyway. Assuming the lighting is good, and they aren't using an old VHS camcorder from the '80s, then you're already seeing things in a pretty stark light. What more needs to be seen? Pores of the skin? I don't know, maybe it will be good for some of those big-budget artsy ones like the Blake Anderson films.
