Pink Floyd's PUSLE
I know that PULSE won't be out until Sept. but I could swear I've seen it on the shelves before. Anyone know if there is more than one version?

Any copy of PULSE or Delicate Sound of Thunder currently available on DVD (as found on Ebay and some other sites) is a bootleg transfered from the video tape.
I have a copy of Delicate Sound of Thunder on DVD, and while the quality isn't much better than a video tape (although the sound is okay, complete with pseudo DD5.1!) I'm not holding my breath for an official release of DSoT, considering how long Pulse has taken to be released.

Further to my last post, here's a rant i had on another forum about the constant dealys of the release of this title:
Just to confirm, the official release date announced by EMI for the
PULSE DVD is the 18th Sep 2006, (although Amazon.co.uk say 9th Oct
2006) but I won't believe it until I'm holding a copy in my hands.
Apparently the delay is due to technical issues, which I think is total
BS as EMI have been using this excuse all along. If the technical
issues are so bad that it requires so long to fix then how can they be
so sure they'll be fixed by Sep 18th, especially when it was supposed
to be ready for release in Dec 2005? Personally I think it's simply a
marketing ploy, as David Gilmour has a new CD being released on the 6th
March, followed by a UK/Europe/US tour and Roger Waters has a European
tour slated for June/July - so I'm sure EMI just want to keep the
marketing machine rolling for as long as possible and the release of
this DVD will be a nice bit of icing on the cake after the tours. I
wouldn't be surprised if it's released closer to christmas, just to get
the extra sales. They're sitting on a gold mine and they know it.
It was around Oct 2003 that David Gilmour announced the 5.1 mix of
Pulse had been completed. In April, June and October 2004 Nick Mason
assured us that it would be released by christmas 2004. By July 2005,
EMI says the DVD still needs more work ('technical issues'), but hopes
to have it out by late 2005. Then in Oct 2005 EMI announced Dec 5th
2005 as the release date, which was when the artwork was released and
many sites had the DVD available to order. After Dec 5th came and went Jan
16th was a popular date being used by many sites and it wasn't until
then that EMI announced Sep 18th.
I only wish EMI would be more honest about what's really going on, the
longer they leave it the more people will be buying bootleg copies,
transferred from video tape, on sites like ebay.
There was mention of Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall being
remixed/remastered for SACD 5.1, but I'm not overly optimistic in light
of the Pulse DVD debacle - but who knows, it might just happen, I'll
certainly be very happy if it does.
I wouldn't even count on Delicate Sound of Thunder or The Wall Concert
being released on DVD, but I would love to be proven wrong

Pulse has never been "Officially" released on DVD...
However, in the UK, just after the original VHS release, it was released on Laserdisc, which is most likely where the current "unofficial" DVD releases are coming from....
BTW - Delicate Sound of Thunder was released about 6 months prior to Pulse on Laserdisc in the UK...

Probably you´re right I´ve got it as two sided DVD from Russia.
There is The Wall on the first side and Pulse on the other side.

I confirm that all the Pulse release at this time are bootlegs.
For information, 3 differents bootlegs from the 1994/10/20 are in circulation in the Pink Floyd community.
I'm member of 2 differents Pink Floyd hubs and own more than 300 Pink Floyd and solos DVDs.
Those DVDs are bootlegs so don't buy them on Ebay. They are totally free to trade, torrent or share (on the hubs)
For the Pink Floyd fans, if someone need more informations, feel free to mail me
