first VHS was star wars (in its PURE Form) and first dvd was Blade
i never owned a laserdisc player as i knew with the huge ass things, they would not last...

I still have mine, and I still have some titles that have never been available on DVD. I just don't have the heart to get rid of it. Friends come over, and when they see it, they look at me as if I'm using a Victrola or something!

The writing was on the wall in BACK TO THE FUTURE PART TWO when Marty landed in an alleyway that had huge packs of Laserdiscs bundled up for the garbage.
(sigh) I don't think I can ever part with my TOMBS OF THE BLIND DEAD laserdisc. No matter what format supersedes it.

it was a long time ago but as far as I remember my first VHS was Mad Max I and II, as well as the first DVD - both Mad Max movies

I dont remember the first VHS I bought - but I do remember that THE LAST STARFIGHTER was one of the fist things i taped
First DVDs I bought were IRON GIANT and MATRIX back in their origial snapper cases
