For some strange reason, episodes of ULTRAMAN used to scare me a bit. Not sure why now.

The Creature From The Black Lagoon did it for me, I was only 9 when I first saw it on TV and that was in 1956, nothing beats old black and white horror movies, the newer ones have to much gore in them for me. What made it scary for me was we use to swim in the old spring by the house all the time until I saw that movie, no more. Oh by the way the old spring we swam in was in Walulla Springs, the same place they shot the movie.

Why the curtain... The part where the kid knocks on the window and says let me in.
The cover over the neck... vampire movie=blood sucker=neck bite=not going to happen with cover over neck.

I agree Salems Lot was pretty scary I think I was only 5 when that came out, my grandma used to make us watch it with her
