I also have both format, PS3 blu ray and Toshiba HD DVD player. I dont think I will be getting rid of it since it's practically free, I bought it for $129 with 2 free movies 300 and Bourne Ultimatum and a free HDMI cable with the box and I got another 5 free movies in the mail last week. It is retiring in the bedroom as an extra dvd player

not sure if this was posted anywhere but wal-mart has now also pulled out of hd-dvd
