The Hollywood Reporter is quoting reliable sources that say Toshiba is about to drop its HD-DVD format.

that sucks.
blu ray has some hardcore encryption while HD DVD has pretty much nothing

I own both format, PS3 and Toshiba , I always think as a consumer competition is always a good thing, seriously folks how many times should I be buying the same freaking movies in different format?!! take for example I have Matrix in VHS, DVD and HD DVD , so I'm very selective of what movies I buy now to shell out my hard earned cash ...
