Wow look at this post go i dont rember any of my posts getting this many replys. Hailstorm i read your reply and fair enough but you will find that alot of covers on this site have no names on them as they are blanked out, There for they must be stolen. When i read the rule it said if you put a cover on the site if you dont know who the artist is then leave it blank there for i would say when you upload someones work your meant to ask permission. As for you ApolloOne i notice you seem to have went quiet have i hit a nerve you seem to be backing off.

i know alot of artists who tell me about this site stealing.
why would i want to get into trouble by providing stolen covers as no credits will be given
i didnt see anything in the rules about me posting a covers and wait for people to download before i get credits or i wouldnt of uploaded it. think i shoud call this THE GREAT ESCAPE.

Allot of covers did have names of the people who uploaded them, but last year we were hacked and allot of the names were removed by the hackers, don't assume that they were posted without any names attached. I am still moving covers to the correct locations and setting the sizes to the correct size also, but when you have over 30.000 covers, it takes awhile.

No problems i know what you mean as for buying credits i dont normally pay for credits as i can scan my covers. I didnt see were it mentioned people had to download a cover for me to get credits, The fact that someone said they would have to download a cover 100 ties for me to get 30 credits seem very bad deal. I think we should stop bickering and call truce.

Just FYI, if you had read all of the stickys in the "Rules and FAQs" forum, you would have seen this.

Concerning your complaint about lack of responsiveness, I have been a member long enough to see that general activity on this site kind of comes and goes. For the past several months, it has been rather quiet. It's not that you're a new member; it's just that you happened to have joined at a time when site activity seems to be down in general.

You must also keep in mind that everyone here is doing this in their free time. The mods all have day jobs. They get to stuff when they can. And if your complaint is about a lack of response on a WIP thread, then you need to understand that that forum is for ALL members to help each other out. It is not incumbent on a mod to comment on a WIP thread. I rarely comment in the WIP forum because I consider most of the artists here to be more talented than I am. I also only comment on WIP covers for movies that I personally like, which is a small subset of what is posted. I am sure that most artists here will only comment on WIPs that personally interest them for one reason or another. After all, this is a hobby, not an obligation.

And finally, this is just opinion, but I think that .3 credits per download is a great deal. You have other sites where you get credit for uploading. It doesn't matter how brilliant or popular your cover is as long as it meets the site's quality criteria. You get paid for your work once and that's it.

Then there is this site, where if I make a truly brilliant and popular cover, I can sit around while the credits roll in. This makes the site more valuable, as artists are motivated to create covers that more people want.

Again, this is a matter of opinion, and you have every right not to like it. I was just trying to explain why I do like it.

I hope this post does not sound like bickering, as that was not my intent. My intent was to increase mutual understanding.

I understand what you mean i have never been to a site like this the ones i goto normally give credits for uploads, the olny one that did simlar to this was customcovers now there was a site probaly the best cover site on the net but thats my opinion but as the saying goes all good things come to an end.
