HOW TO: Keep Spines Flat While Scanning.

Place the cover on the scanner bed, take an 8 x 10 glass from a picture frame put it on top of the cover then close the scanner cover and add a few heavy books to the scanner cover.

There are other methods but this is the one used by most and it is pretty easy to get a glass from a cheap picture frame.

Remember to check out the scanning tutorial hosted here if your new to scanning and try and use a template to insure size and alignment are correct.
