HOUSE OF WAX (2005)
This actually was not as bad as I expected it to be, but it wasn't really that good either. It's slightly below average. The murders were gory, and the production design is pretty good. However, it's about 30 minutes too long, there is absolutely no suspense whatsoever, and the cast of victims are simply awful. The bad outweighs the good, but you do get to see Elisha Cuthbert run around in a tight wife beater for two hours.

Paris Hilton brilliantly conveys her internal struggle regarding whether or not she should tell her boyfriend she is pregnant. Well, not really, but she does get a stake shoved through her unattractive face real graphic-like. Several sequences are surprisingly effective, like when Cuthbert falls into a cesspool of roadkill, or has her finger chopped off, or when her lips are glued together. In fact she is the best thing about this film, and it would've worked much better if it had just featured her in peril throughout. The other teen victims really detract from the proceedings. Chad Michael Murray needs to be punched in the face as he pitches a fit through the entire first hour of the movie. None of the other characters manage to elicit much sympathy either. They're all quite insignificant except to provide the traditional body count. Utterly forgettable.

I enjoyed this flick, one of the better Dark castle flicks. Way better than The Reaping or Thir13en Ghosts

I loved the movie! Being a natural Jared Padalecki fan, couldn't miss this one!
Was kinda sad that he was turned into a "Ken", but overall it was a great movie, really!
Just the kind of flick to enjoy without further expectations!
