SICK NURSES (2007)
Neato title promises much but delivers little more than repetitive scares in this Thai take on the JU-ON/GRUDGE series. Screen writing is so lazy as to lift plot points and grisly highlights from the superior Japanese movies without a hint of shame. Efforts to mimic JU-ON's effective use of a fractured time line serve only to confuse but SICK NURSES is enlivened by some sensual performances from it's achingly beautiful cast. Occasional imaginative set pieces distract from what is essentially a pretty hollow piece of work with some laughable attempts at profundity.
