Seeing the "Soup of the Day: Whiskey" picture in another thread, and with St. Patty's Day tomorrow, I got to thinking that whiskey lovers should share their favorites here. Favorite brands, favorite stories, etc. Anything whiskey related. Scotch, Bourbon, whatever you like.

I'm a Scotch whisky man, myself, so I'll start. I like nothing more than finishing the day with a couple of fingers of 12-year-old Highland Park. When I was in Scotland, I wanted to bring a good Scotch home, so I asked a lot of locals what they drank, and this was on a lot of their lists. I brought it home, tried it, and it's the best I've ever tasted.

Glenfiddich Scotch on the rocks for me, but if I want to sit and relax it's two shots of Courvoisier VSOP with a shot of Disaronno straight up.
