| Other Cover Site? Hi,
in the welcome message of this site one can read:
"Hopefully the users of this community will help other communities
to grow by sharing."
Besides Dagon's Den, does anyone know some good DVD cover sites, where we might find some covers that are not posted here?
Thanks very much.

#2 | | Guest | daprogger is my 2nd destination for covers, after here. Kind of hit or miss there, and it is a foreign site so download speeds are shitty. | |

#3 | | Guest | I go for the places where the files download real fast. The files are only about 180k at full size and 72 DPI. They have almost any cover you might need and the scans are the best quality, done with care and great preparation to make sure you get to see every piece of lint they could find at the time. I download the same file 4 times so I can increase the DPI to 288 DPI and make a decent cover. If it's a really good cover, then I'll download it 5 times to get the DPI up over 300.

| Precisions please OK, I'm sorry but I need clarifications. 1) Paladine says that daprogger is his 2nd destination for covers. What is this, and where can I find it? I looked for it, but didn't find. 2) Mcaswell says 1) that he goes to faster places, and 2) that he downloads the same file 4 times so he can increase the DPI to 288 DPI.
I have 2 questions concerning this: 1) where do you go, when you talk about faster places?, and 2) how can you increase the DPI by downloading the same file many times? I would really like to learn how to do this.
Thanks for you time and patience.

| You can't upgrade the Crap at cdcovers.cc. He is kiding with you. Ask for the covers here and maybe you will get lucky and someone has it. If its a RARE Movie then you may have to buy it. |

Cackerez | I was having a bit of fun with you. There is so much 72 DPI crap out on the net, and someone always ends up getting some piece of junk and just bumping up the DPI to 300 and they think they have a masterpiece. I've had acceptable results from 150DPI scans, but never with 72DPI.
When I scan a cover, its at 600 DPI for editing and cleanup. Then I down sample it to 300 DPI and save it at 11 on the JPG quality scale. I've learned that the difference between 12 and 11 is minimal but the file size savings adds up.
If you were to type "megasearch" in yahoo, you might find some interesting results.. not alot of good quality, but you might find some.
And as stated earlier... if you really think Saddam should be free.. 'You're an asshole!"

| OK, thanks for your help. Cdcovers.cc is not all crap; I found some interesting and rare stuff at 300 DPI, which is far better than nothing. Oh and by the way, of course I don't think Saddam should be free. It was just a humorous picture. Thanks again.
