There is a site out there specifically for this already. I came across it once before while looking to learn about editing my own menus. I haven't got the address at hand but I'll track it down. Otherwise I think it's a good idea

That's a cool idea, actually.

A bit more 'niche' than this site, I believe, but I bet there's a demand for it out there.
