Just Thought Of A Crazy Idea... (Need Input)

Maybe im thinking too hard, or maybe I have what it takes but regardless it all boils down to what the people might think of this idea and its just a shot in the dark but it could work.

I was thinking what about the idea of having a forum with PGC menus only? Like custom made and retail ones? You know how we here like to collect custom and scan covers, Im sure people out there wouldnt mind having some custom work of a DVD menu they would like to add to their movie?

I think its a great idea, it not only brings out the imagination in most, but with the ideas of motion menus and custom menus, the possibilities are endless. People who have a huge collection of DiVX files and would like to turn it into a DVD, you can have custom made PGC menus and just use a program like DVD-Lab to import the file and your done!

Its just an idea, i mean we have forums out there for the stupidest things, and I think this isnt that bad at all. What do'yall think?

Thanks for the few inputs. My question was intended for the solemnly purpose of a generalization which means it doesnt necessarily need to be put into this forum, it could be made on a separate forum alltogether just wanted to know if it fits with anyone in this forum.

true: PGC is the extension of the menus on the dvds, programs like DVD Decryptor can extract the PGC file which carries the menu portion of the DVD, then other program you can edit the menu so you can import it to your movies. Making menus is a drag, takes a long time. But if you can find a preset retail PGC menu from the original DVD, then all u gotta do is import the file and author. Im not sure how big PGC files are but they shouldnt be more then 40 megs depends if its a motion menu or not.

Ohhh. Wow that actually sounds cool. Kind of curious on what these creative people can come up with. I wonder if it would take a lot of tinkering with the credit system to implement that though.
Me personally, I would like to see what people can come up with, but I don't think I would put it in my movies

PGC = Program Chains

My only problem is making what other people want. Usually, I make my own menus only when I am merging movies. I put all 3 Star Wars movies on one D9 (Looks crappy on big screen, but more than adequate on a portable DVD player). I also put a couple of my favorite TV episodes together (better example). So, it's hard to make menus that evryone can use.
