Fuji has a new premium plus glossy photo paper and it rocks! You're right about Epson's papers being good. A good paper will make a decent printer look great.. and crappy paper will make a great printer look like "crappy paper"

I just bought my wife the new Epson R200 . It's about $98 at BBY and others, but Staples has it with a $20.00 holiday gift card by mail, so you get the printer for $78.00. It uses the same carts as the R300, and you can get the "daddy40" deal so your final cost is about $3.00 per ink cartridge in the 12 pack. This printer has the same print engine and DOES include printing on CD's/DVD's just like it's big brother. My wife printed 60 full sheet Christmas cards and the starter inks are all still over 50% except for the Yellow (that one always goes first for me!). I'm just not so sure of all this "Canon is more efficient on ink usage" that people keep talking about.

My Epson starter ink set that came with the printer lasted a rela long time as well - the refills Ive gotten from various locations have not lasted as long - not bad, but not as long.

Just ordered from inkdaddy...Much thanks goes to Mcaswell for the coupon! Hopefully this works better than printpal because I had to take 4 printers back because of their ink. Luckily I had the 3-year warranty from bestbuy so it wasnt that big of a deal that it ruined my printer because they would take it back everytime no questions asked.

On my Canon printers, we use Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy. I've used the next step up (Photo Paper Pro), but I didn't feel the quality difference was worth the cost difference. I prefer using Canon paper and Canon ink with my Canon printers.
