Glad to see that its over - if it really is over....

Doesn't matter to me though. My TV still doesn't have an extra input that will play it, and I don't plan on a new TV purchase for about 4-5 years - by then it WILL be OVER and hardware and software will be dirt cheap

i would agree but..er..i fell into the trap bought a plasma tv+blueray..well ps3
(ps3 stopped working tonight so not going 2 get a new one)

as i have read elswhere tonight..players ect are falling to £199 for a combo player
in the next few months as japan have been given the rights to produce blu-ray ect
so cheap players here we come and names that we have never heard of lol(brand wise)

but cheap so its all good

Who you kidding drak? 199GBP is like 400USD, and if you meant Euro, its still liek 310USD - Im talking about CHEAP like DVD players today....less than 75USD cheap - I promise you...within 2-3 years time, combo players will be hovering around 110-150USD if not less when 2nd or 3rd gen players of Bluray start coming out at that time and companies just want to move the old combos to get rid of them without a loss.
