[Demonology]

Lulubelle and icoty have organised, what promises to be, a very exciting Inter Site Competition challenge. Several site will be going head to head in this all new idea. With 10 sites involved, each choosing 2 of the worlds best cover artists to represent them, I am expecting to see some of the best custom covers ever made. And the prizes will be awesome, with a post so far of $463!!

Here are the official contest details.


The Competition will officially begin on 10th March 2008

Full Sized entry Covers must be submitted to iCoty on virtualaftershock, with the name of the artist and the site detailed in the email, before the 10th April 2008.

The full sized covers will be hosted on a private forum that only the judges will have access too, but previews of all the covers will be posted on iCoty’s news Blog for everyone to see by 12th April 2008.

Judging will commence on the 12th April 2008. A score sheet will be sent to all Judges, before that date, and will be based on Originality, Design, Layout, Quality etc.

The Judges Score sheets must be sent back to iCoty by the 15th April 2008 or the scores can not be included in the overall judging.

The Winners will be announced on the 17th April 2008.

The Covers:

We thought we would keep it interesting, and seeing the quality artists being picked something that will challenge them!

The Artists can pick from the following two movies, but BOTH movies must be submitted by each site. The two representatives must complete one of the movies each, it us up to them to decide who.


One Artist from each site must complete a cover for: Gone with the Wind

One Artist from each site must complete a cover for: Citizen Kane


The contest cover entries must not appear on any site as a WiP or complete cover until after the competition winners have been announced.

Prizes:

Not all prize donations have been confirmed but the overall prize pot that is estimated (after conversions) from the contributions so far (in US dollars) : $463 !

There are still at least 4 sites to confirm whether they will be donating.

This will be broken down into 3 prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place.

1st Prize: Total Cash Donations ($463 Confirmed to date)
2nd Prize: iPod Nano
3rd Prize: iPod Shuffle (Choice of Color and Engraving if you want)
