Checking Credits?

What are checking credits and how are they different from savings credits?

Checking credits are earned on a subscription. Savings credits are purchased outright, given, or earned through uploaded material. Checking credits require an active subscription to use, savings credits do not. Neither expire.

So, what is an "active subscription"?

R1db.com took some money ($16.00) through my PayPal Account on April 18, 2010 - I have been a subscriber for at least 2 or 3 years yet all of the credits I got for $16.00 went into Checking?! So, now I have 605 credits in "checking" and 1,050 credits in "savings" - 1,000 of these were just purchased a week or 2 ago and I assume that 50 credits may have come from my covers being downloaded! So, my question is - why are the credits in Checking not in Savings?? As I said, I have had an active subscription for 2 or 3 years and $16.00 is automatically taken from me through PayPal every year?! If this is not an "active subscription" then what the heck is the definition of "active subscription" please?!

Thanks in advance.
