Well for full blown disturbing Irréversible (by Gaspar Noe) is a top contender. Violent anal rape isn't for everyone and its pretty hard to watch, adding to that the length of the seen and the physical violence in the revenge part of the movie, probably most people can't and won't watch this movie. This film has Monica Bellucci(matrix) and real life husband Vincent Cassel in the starring roles..(they were both in Brotherhood of the Wolf as well)

Gaspar Noe's other film which is pretty hard to watch is "I Stand Alone"(Violent beating of a pregnant woman, & Incest)..

Most disturbing=Faces of Death. Can't remember which one, but it showed a woman getting hit by a train and a foreign student getting shot in the chest with a shotgun. Very disturbing.

Nah, I seen that one too. I Spit on Your Grave wasn't rated XXX. I spit on your grave wasn't disturbing, it was stupid.

I agree about the faces of death. It's been over 10 years since I saw one.

MY most disturbing film is :

about 11 years ago, i was at my friend Rob's house, and he had the whole VCR-Laserdisc-cd thing wired all through his house,

so as always i walked in, and i thought he had not gotten back from the store , so i sat down in his livingroom, and turned the TV on...

(now all the tv's were hotwired to play the same thing (all 4 in his house)

so when i turned it on, there was a porno playing, so i watched it a bit...

THEN I REALIZED IT WAS MY FRIEND HAVING SEX!!!!

he had apparently videotaped he and an ex-girlfriend a few months back...

and he was probably watching it, before he went to the store, and he had one of those VCR's that start playing after they are paused for 5 minutes...

Now i've seen my fair share of porn in my life, however...

when you are watching a porn with the camera stationary from the below, behind view (what i like to call the testical cam)

and after a few minutes of "thumping" you see that the couple change positions, and you see that the "male actor" is your friend of 16 years...

lets just say, i got some grey that day...

so Faces of death have nothing on my experiance, as i saw "balls of death" and i am forever scarred...

ps on a sidenote, my friend walked in from the store, carrying 2 bottles of"pepsi clear" (the new drink back then) .

took 1 look at the TV , went to his vcr, turned it off, and put the tape away...

and till this day, we have never spoke the trama out loud...

naw it's just one of those things that on occasion when i go to his new house now, with his wife of 4 years,

and he says "wanna watch a movie"

I just stare wide eyed in a statue - like pose, and don't say a word, and we both "chuckle " a little...

or when we go to a video store, and he says what do you want to rent, and i say "NOT PORN" , it's one of those little "unspoken jokes" that buds have...

we have never sat down and talked about it, however its been a sly running gag since then...
