I'm cool with donations and still slowly learning to make covers, only one so far but not up to DVDCA standard for posting but hey it's on my shelf and that alone is great incentive to keep trying to coral and tame the PS beast. Thanks again for having me here.

I would also prefer the possibility to donate, as I am not an artist myself, and feel that it would be wrong for me to upload other peoples covers.
( Double moral I know, as I seem not to have the same reservation when it comes to downloading)

You should also change the text "Click on image to view larger image" to say either download cover, or Click on image to view full size, I am working night shift, and was just merrily clicking my way around the site, when I suddenly realized that I was leeching a lot of covers without saving

edit
Just noticed the Donate button, donation on the way.

I'm not sure what you mean by leechers. This site should also provide a service that allows a non artist to have access to options of great cover works that otherwise are not usually provided with consumer purchased DVD's.

I myself don't intend on submitting covers because I simply can't. This does not mean however, that I am a leech. Someone like myself and many others perhaps, have no problem supporting your creations by monetarily donating to sites such as this. Monetary donations would ensure the site is operating smoothly, create revenue for improvements and provide a continuous forum to display your great works.

I think registration should be kept by referrals to avoid having what happened to DVDCA. That site was everyone's favorite and now this one has the same potential. However, not having it available to anyone could cause potential saboteurs by leaving someone bitter about not being allowed in.

If it is to remain exclusive then all discussions referenced in dv-depot made by anyone regarding this site in the dvdca forum should be deleted by that adminstrator. Persons are hinting that they know about this site but won't outright divulge it. Persons picking up on the clues though could simply E-Mail that person and make an offer to their paypal account for that information.

Honestly, that's how I obtained it.

To avoiding "leeching" then non artists should pay a required donation, perhaps at a standard rate to be deposited semi-annually.

Just a suggestion.

Btw, could someone tell me how to correctly retrieve a cover? I tried saving one and when I looked at the image afterwards there was a picture of some tough-guy saying something about using up bandwith. I just want to follow the right protocol. Thanks.

As far as supporting goes, I make covers, I'll upload whatever I make (for better or worse), and I'll support financially as well. Bandwidth isn't free (I know, I co-locate a server for other stuff) and (just for me) I feel an obligation as part of the community and to our host to help keep the sucker afloat.

I like the donation system. I know that DVDCA did it differently, and I didn't have a problem with that, but it DID ultimately lead to it's demise.

I think we need to take a cue from Churchill on that front.

I like the donation system as well , for bandwidth expense and all. Should make this a referral only site.
