CD/DVD Envelopes

The other thread about storage and got me thinking and last night it occurred to me to get these little envelopes. Use a sigle case and put a bonus disc in that and slip in under the holder for the inserts. Now I admit I am not always the sharpest knife in the drawer and this may be something the ancient romans did. I know that its cheaper than buying double cases. Has anyone done this and is there anything I need to watch out for other than the usual handling?

might work in a pinch, but I would still rather spend the extra cents to get the double cases. Clever thinking to.

I have used the envelope a few times, but only when I was out of double cases. I haven't had any issues, but I have always put them back in double cases when I bought more. I haven't used the envelope as a long term storage.

When I bought Gladiator (back when it first hit DVD) it came in a standard single-sized Amaray with a black paper envelope containing the extra disc. In fact, that was the original impetus for me seeking out replacement cases and later finding my way into the cover community.
