The historian great book with vampires , also R scott bakker , prince of nothing trilogy of books. Like LOTR's only with decent wizards and more battles.

"The Hobbit", by J.R.R. Tolkien. I love the book, would like to see a good movie made out of it. I heard there is one planned but Peter Jackson is not welcome as director. This is a pity, as somehow it feels to me that it would be better if Jackson did this one as well, to have the whole story in similar style.
