After spending hours, days or weeks on creating your beloved cstm cover, do you actually use it or do you wrap the film up in someone elses creation?

I have created about 50/60 covers and I think I am using about 2 of them

of course I do - I mean Im glad that other people enjoy the works I make, but really....if you made 50-60 and only use 2 of them, then you are most likely in a small minority - I dont think there is much anyone else willing to put in that kind of work just for everyone else

for the most part, you'll find that people generally create for a need they themselves have - sharing it with others is just a bonus

I agree. I only make covers for stuff that I have and even then only if there isn't already something out there that I can download. For me, making my own covers is a last resort.

The majority of the covers I have made are for me. Sometimes a friend will ask me to make one for their's, but for the most part it all for me. If other people like my work and use it, cool.

of all the custom covers i have on my shelf...90% are made by me...only a few covers are by other artists. that being said, I don't use every cover I make because sometimes they are friends. right now i am working on one that is for a friend...i hate the movie, but he asked me to work something up for him so I tossed an idea together. if he likes it, i'll proceed, but i'll never own the movie.

Of course. Not sure how many covers I've done, but the only ones I don't use are my Pitch Black cover as well as my Stargate covers.

Like Jup said, I do this for me. I don't do covers for stuff I don't own(unless by chance it is part of a set).

this is also not to say that I dont use covers made by others - theres a lot of good talent sprouting up over the last year

I'm a fledgeling, I've only made like 3 so far. Although I start a lot of things and find something out there that are beyond what I'm capable of doing and use those.

I think one of the best parts about making customs is the final print, wrapping it up and putting it on the shelf. So, yeah, I use all of my own. For some reason, the covers I've made that I consider shitty, no one else has done.
