I have some 6 disc slim cases from PCX, so I will use those for now, but as I said I would like to get a hold of the Blu-ray cases. If you can remove the locking tabs from inside the case without to much difficulty or damaging the case, let us know.

I'm new on the forum, as well .. but I have been seeking the 14mm 5/6-DVD cases for some time, myself. Like most here, I would need to buy at least 100 units of each.

I've tried multiple times to contact Brackley Industries in Sydney, Australia (with no reply). Their website mentions that they have a storefront in Sydney which is open to the public, so I don't think they're ignoring me simply because I'm not a studio/distributor.

I did manage to make contact with PCX (also in Australia) .. but their shipping cost for 200 units (1 box of 5-disc cases and 1 of 6-disc) come to almost as much as the cases themselves; and -- as Hailstorm mentioned earlier in the thread -- if care is not taken with shipments over such a distance, more than half of those cases could arrive broken. They also will only accept payment from U.S.-based customers via wire transfer.

I have actually considered flying down to Sydney this summer with a couple of empty suitcases. Crazy, I know .. but it would probably work out cheaper (and safer) than shipping them.

One Time DVD Security is what the library has here. It is doesn't look like the same setup as the Farscape DVD set that was mentioned in above however these are the 6 disc 14mm cases that I have been looking for. Since they are used by the library I thought I would check them out. The locking mechanism is merely a strip that is inside the case so when it is ran through the decoupler it auto-locks the case. The strip can easily be taken out or left in. Being that the cases come unlocked, you can choose to keep the strip in or simply remove. Thought I'd share the tidbit...Thank you for the site info as I will be ordering the One Time DVD cases to save space....Thank you all...

I also ordered the OneTime cases from Vernon Library supplies and also love them and they are working out great. Price is a bit high at $ 2.30 US but shipping was very reasonable that they got the items to me very fast. I live in the US so and shipping to Chicago for 12 cases was around $5-6

Where in Chi-town to you live, I have allot of friends up there. Most of them are in Joliet/Shorewood area. And just so you know, $2.30 each is allot cheaper than what they sell for in Australia and then shipped here, it comes out to be around $6.00 each.

Has there been any update to finding somewhere here in the US that has these? I went out black friday shopping and almost all of the season cases have now been changed to 14mm 5 or 6 disc and no overlap (Atlantis, Stargate Universe & One Tree Hill for example). Just wondering if anyone has found these especially in black.

Thanks

I didn't read this whole thread, but think what we're all talking about is Viva cases:

VIVA

I've been looking for these, too. From what I understand, Viva doesn't sub-license their designs, so you must buy from them directly...and this requires an order probably in the 10,000's. Some companies like Vernon Library Supplies have still gotten their cases, and some sell their Bu-Ray cases like

Casetopia
and
MegaDiscStore

But Casetopia once told me they had to get them second-hand from a manufacturing facility. I haven't checked around lately, so maybe things have changed, but think the best solution is to petition these companies to use their contacts to acquire some DVD cases.

Failing that, I will eventually succumb and buy some Scanavo cases, i.e.

AVDistributing

But they sell only in full-case quantities. US Plastic sells multi-disk Amaray cases

U.S. Plastic Corp.

which might be okay, provided you don't need to store more than 6 disks and aren't wanting to repair a broken case (with different dimensions).

Vernon Library Supplies carries the case you are looking for, they are called One-Time, see thread above yours, click on One-Time and it will direct you to the cases you want.
